GDM’s Converge platform empowers you to tailor how risk is assessed across your pipeline and facility assets. By customizing Risk Profiles, you can align risk scoring with your organization’s unique operational priorities and data insights.

What is a Risk Profile?

A Risk Profile defines how much influence each risk factor—such as consequence or likelihood—has on the overall risk score. This allows you to:

  • Apply a consistent risk methodology across all assets
  • Create multiple profiles with different weightings for specific asset types or regions

Note: Only the profile set as the Company Default will be actively applied across your organization’s assets.

Accessing and Managing Risk Profiles

1. Navigate to Risk Profiles

  • From the main menu, go to Risk Manager
  • Select Risk Profiles

2. Review Existing Profiles

  • If you’ve previously configured custom weightings, you may see a profile labeled Migrated
  • Click the X to delete a profile
  • Click the Edit icon to open and modify a profile

3. Edit a Risk Profile

  • Click the Edit icon in the top-right corner of the profile
  • Editable fields will highlight in blue
  • Adjust the percentage weightings as needed

You can also select Use System Weightings to revert to GDM’s default scoring model, which is based on industry benchmarks and proprietary data models.

Important: The total of all weightings must equal 100%. You won’t be able to save changes otherwise.

4. Save and Apply Changes

  • After saving, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Converge
  • The Risk Matrix on your Risk Dashboard will automatically update to reflect the new weightings

GDM’s approach to risk profiling—especially for complex infrastructure like composite pipelines—ensures that your assessments are grounded in the most current and comprehensive data available
