Converge is a map-based platform designed to help you visualize, analyze, and manage energy infrastructure data efficiently. Here’s a breakdown of the main interface components:

1. Navigation Panel

Located on the left side of the screen, this panel provides access to key tools and features, including:

    Features:

    • Asset Management – configure your Corporate Hierarchy simply.
    • Reports – Generate pre-configured reports. These include Inventory, Compliance, Pipeline Crossing, User Edit History, and Land Features.
    • One Call – Generate your One Call submission with a few clicks.
    • Import/Export – Upload or download asset data in bulk and in multiple formats.
    • Converge Data Store – Direct access to GDM’s infrastructure data on cloud-based platforms. Learn about Snowflake.

    Modules:

    • Crossings Manager – Identify and manage pipeline water crossings.
    • Risk Manager – Assess pipeline risk using likelihood, consequence, and weighted scores.
    • Field Review Manager – manage your annual Field Inspections simply and effectively with this out of the box solution.
    • Connectivity Manager – create diagrams of your assets and model the fluids and gases from its source to its destination.

2. Query Builder

Use the Search by Asset ID to find your energy infrastructure assets by their Approval or Regulatory numbers.

For more advanced filtering, expand the search dialog to build queries using a diverse array of asset attributes such as:

  • Approval-line Number
    • Operator
    • Facility ID
    • UWI
    • Incident ID

3. Map Navigation Toolbar

These tools help you move through the map and interact with assets:

  • Data layers – context layers to aid in decision making:
    • Transportation Infrastructure
    • Fortis
    • Wildfires
    • High Consequence Area
  • Pan, Zoom, Select and interact with your assets
  • Create informative maps quickly
  • Need higher-resolution map prints? There are now two additional scale options in the Print Map tool: 1:2,500 and 1:5,000.
  • Labeling options that let you choose between abbreviations or full descriptions (e.g., "S" or "Steel"). Abbreviations are the default for a cleaner look.

4. Map Panel

The interactive map is core to the Converge experience. Use it to:

  • Select assets for analysis or reporting.
  • Visualize pipelines, facilities, and wells. Apply context layers (e.g., Risk, Crossings, Regional Municipalities, Wildfires).
  • Base maps with the ability to easily toggle between Topographic, Satellite Imagery, OpenStreetMap, and Grid Only.

5. Data Panel

The Data Panel is divided into six tabs, each corresponding to a specific type of asset:

  • Pipeline
  • Facility
  • Well
  • Incident
  • Water Crossing
  • Other Crossings

When assets are selected - either directly on the map or through a query - the Data Panel reveals detailed attribute information. Each tab presents a rich set of attributes tailored to its respective infrastructure type. For example, the Pipeline tab offers access to over 140 distinct attributes that users can explore and query.

6. Map Filter

Tailor your view to focus on what matters most:

  • Filter to show only assets operated by your company
  • Toggle between Licensed Pipeline and Enhanced Pipeline views

7. User Icon

Click on the User Icon, in the top right-hand corner, for additional options regarding Help, Data Currency and Entitlements (if applicable)

  • Click on the Help link to access our Knowledge Base for numerous articles and best practices
