In Converge, you may want to reduce the impact of risk scores for assets that are no longer active—such as abandoned or discontinued lines. This can be done by adjusting settings within your Risk Profiles.
How to De-escalate Risk Scores
Navigate to Risk Profiles - Go to the Risk Profiles section in Converge.
Adjust Risk Based on Pipeline Status - Within the profile settings, locate the option to adjust risk scores based on pipeline status.
Apply De-escalation to Inactive or Abandoned Assets - When enabled, this setting will reduce the weighting of risk scores for specific statuses by multiplying them by 0.1%.
Apply De-escalation by excluding Corrosion Driver Modifier - When enabled, this setting will reduce the weighting of H2S to a value of 1 (un-enabled the multiplier is 2).
Affected Pipeline Statuses
The following statuses will be impacted by this setting:
Category | Statuses |
---|---|
Inactive | C - Cancelled, D - Discontinued, I - Inactive, S - Suspended, V - Deactivated, W - Decommissioned |
Abandoned | A - Abandoned, R - Removed |
What Happens After You Save
- Once you save your changes, Converge will begin processing the update.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the changes have been successfully applied. This may take a few minutes depending on the number of assets affected.
- After confirmation, the following areas will reflect the updated risk scores:
- Risk Dashboard
- Risk Info Page
- Risk Matrix
- Likelihood and Consequence Cards
