Now that you've built Custom Risk Profiles, you may wish to adjust their weightings.

As a default, Converge calculates risk with a 70% weighting for Consequence & 30% weighting for Likelihood. You can adjust this calculation to be 50/50, or other values that work best for your organization. This change will appy to risk scoring, but will not affect the overal risk matrix.

Converge will calculate the weighted score from each individual line segment. Then, take the maximum weighted score out of all the segments to apply the Consequence and Likelihood calculation.

Note: Individual values for Consequence and Likelihood can be adjusted as well.

Consequence values include:

  • Accessibility
  • Indigenous Land
  • H2S Partial Pressure
  • Land Use
  • Protected Areas
  • Population Denisty
  • Pipeline Volume
  • Transportation Crossing
  • Water Crossing

Note: Likelihood Values are calculated separately for Steel and Composite lines.

Likelihood (Steel) Values include:

  • Geo Technical
  • External Cracking
  • External Corrosivity
  • Internal Cracking
  • Internal Corrosivity
  • Flow Characteristics

Likelihood (Composite) Values include:

  • Age
  • Construction
  • Cyclic Service
  • Failure History
  • Flow Rate
  • Temperature
  • Pressure
  • Geo Technical

Once you have applied your weightings adjustment, it may take a few minutes to see this change reflected in the risk matrix. You will receive an email from Converge when the calculation has been successfully applied.
