Connectivity Manager is a module on Converge that allows you to see how all your assets are connected. You can also run a report to see which assets are no longer producing, allowing you to focus on building connectivity for the assets that are the most critical.

To create a new diagram, you will need the Connectivity Admin role. Only people with this role can create a diagram, or edit an existing one. Users without editor permissions will be able to view existing diagrams. To learn more about admin permissions, contact us.

There's two ways to access the Connectivity Manager.

            1. Select Connectivity Manager from the side panel.

            2. Select the Connectivity Icon on an asset from the data panel, or asset info card.

The second method will create a new diagram with the asset prepopulated.
If the asset is already in an existing diagram, the diagram will open up with the asset highlighted.

Once you've opened up Connectivity Manager, you will see some Saved Diagrams on the screen, along with details of when they were last modified and by whom, as well as a creation date. You can also click Create New Diagram to open up a blank canvas from here.

Clicking the  icon from here will allow you to preview the diagram without modifying it. This will open the diagram in a popup which you can resize and move around.

To access the diagram, click the title or. This will open up the diagram in a new page, with the map side by side so you can select various assets.

Use the map to jump to a location, or pan to an area and make a spatial selection on your assets. Once you have selected some assets, they will appear in the toolbar under Assets, to show that they are available to drag and drop onto your canvas. To connect them, grab these blue dots and drag it over the asset. Once the asset lights up, it’s all connected.

You can collapse or expand the

Any assets that have already been placed on the canvas, will show under Used Assets.

You can also enter the approval number of any line in the Search by Asset ID bar at the top to select the asset on the map.

Once your assets are connected together, you'll want to run production. Running Production will allow you to access up to date data on Converge to see which assets are producing and which are not.

Converge is loaded with production data from Petrinex, as part of your subscription. You can also load your own proprietary production data into Converge, if you’d like to view more recent data. Contact us to learn more about this option.

In an existing diagram, you may need to update your assets first. The valve icon will be red if your assets need to be updated. This indicates that there is some new regulatory information on the asset. Once you’ve updated them, click the barrel icon to run production. You will receive an email when the production calculation has been completed.

You can navigate to the asset's info page to view the results of the production calculation

If there are loops in your diagram, you may be unable to run production. You will see a yellow alert icon  on assets within the diagram to indicate where the loop is. Once you have reconnected the assets, you will be able to proceed.

Don't forget to save your diagram before exiting the page.

Converge allows you to report on Operating Pipelines With No Production. This report is accessed from the side panel, and allows you to select a date range of 6, 12, or 18 months and preview the pipeline details on the page. To export, click either the PDF or Excel icon in the top right corner, and the file will download to your device.

This report will let you identify any assets missing Connectivity information so you can focus on those assets and make any updates required.
